PROCEDURE:
- Bring the above items to class
daily.
- Homework
: This may be done in ink
or typed and TURNED IN AT THE
BEGINNING OF CLASS. LATE HOMEWORK WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED unless an
absent is excused.
- Daily
Start:
a. Check for handouts in the front of room.
b. Turn in homework.
In homework basket/by class. YOUR NAME AND PERIOD MUST BE
ON THE ASSIGNMENT!!!!!!!!
- Make-up
work and test policy: When you have an excused absence, it
is YOUR responsibility to ask either a fellow student or the teacher
what was missed. You are allowed the number of school days absent plus
one to make up the work for full credit. Up to two school days later
you can receive half credit. After that, no credit will be given. Since
tests are announced well in advance, telling me you cannot take a test
on a test day is not allowed except for illness. Quizzes are not always
announced so please be prepared daily.
- HONEST:
You are expected to be the sole author of your work. No
credit will be given for work copied.
- Extra
Credit will be
offered. Please don't request this. It will be stated.See
attached extra credit sheet.
- GRADES:For
your reference and security, please keep all graded papers in your
notebook for an entire grading period. Your grades will be up to date
on power school. Should you find an omission or an error, your graded
paper is your receipt. Address any concerns outside of class. Grades
are based on your percentage of the total points. 90%-A, 80%-B, etc.
- GROUP
WORK:Please get into groups quickly, work on your tasks jointly,
and when asked, return to your seat quickly to participate in the large
class work. Group work is part of the learning process. Choose your
groups wisely when asked. Everyone is expected to be a productive part
of their group.
- NEED
HELP? Outside of class you can get help at the Resource Center
or with your teacher. Please feel free to ask for an appointment.
Should you miss a class, it is a good idea to get the notes from a
classmate if possible and don't forget to check your assignment sheet
regularly.
- My
major peeve is talking when I am
talking or when other members of the class are asking questions or
responding to questions. Those who
listen and participate in this world succeed far more
often than those who don't.
