Student Recognized for Excellence in Leadership, Service, and Judaic Studies
CJHS's Rachel Braun is one of fifteen high school sophomores and juniors from across the country that has been named winners of The Jewish Theological Seminary's Ahavat Torah Award. "Devoted to intellectually rigorous study of Jewish sacred texts, dedicated to communal leadership, and committed to meaningful engagement with the larger world and its challenges, this year's JTS Ahavat Torah Award recipients are an outstanding group of young men and women. They represent the best of the Jewish future, and we are honored to recognize their accomplishments and celebrate their promise," said Dr. Shuly Schwartz, Dean of the Albert A. CJHS Students Honored for Achievement on American Chemical Society Exam
Daniel Eisenberg (class of 2010) was awarded $3000 for his second place performance on the 54th Annual Scholarship Examination in Chemistry sponsored by the Chicago Section of the American Chemical Society High School Education Committee. His classmate Ari Eisenstadt was recognized with honorable mention for being among the top performers. A total of 103 students were nominated by their teachers (maximum two per teacher) to take the 2008 ACS Scholarship exam. |
IFYC Program Highlighted in Loyola Academy Newsletter
In a recent newsletter, Loyola Academy, our partner school in the Interfaith Youth Core, featured some of our students. We thought that you would be interested to see what they said.
