CJHS performs
Romeo and Juliet

Will Romeo and Juliet live happily ever after or will the romance end in tragedy? Although you probably know the answer, don't miss this incredible production of Shakespeare's most famous love story and tragedy.

The play will be performed for one night only at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 22 at Beth Hillel Congregation/B'nai Emunah 3220 Big Tree Lane, Wilmette. The cost is $5 for students and $7 for community members.

The cast and crew of Romeo and Juliet would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to everyone whose hard work and dedication made this show possible.

Thank you to our faithful parents, for your endless encouragement, support, and chauffeur service.

Thank you to Harvey Gross, Bruce Scher, Joan Waxman, and Rabbi Elliot Goldberg for their help with facilities; to Shira Koffman and Shira Eliaser for designing the posters and programs; and a very special thank you to Beth Hillel Congregation Bnai Emunah for the use of their performance space.

Most of all, we thank our dedicated director, Ron Ben Joseph, without whom none of this would have been possible.

Sophomores complete PLAN at CJHS

The sophomore class took the PLAN test on Nov. 11 as part of the college planning curriculum. Results from the PLAN will arrive at CJHS in mid February and advisors will review the tests with each student.

"The PLAN is great preparation for the ACT assessment-it covers the same subject areas,." said Director of College Counseling Bruce Scher. "It gives sophomores an estimated ACT score and helps students know what high school courses they should be taking. Finally, it connects students with colleges that may have interest in them and helps them to identify career that match their interest."
