The CJHS Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Dr. Ted Schaffner has agreed to serve as the Interim Head of School of CJHS. As you may know, Dr. Schaffner joined CJHS last August as part-time Director of Curriculum and Instruction. Prior to that, he had a distinguished 32-year career as a teacher and administrator at Highland Park High School that culminated in an 18-year tenure as Assistant Principal.

Since Dr. Schaffner joined CJHS, he has worked closely with our faculty and administration, and he shares their passion for CJHS and their commitment to excellence. In addition to his duties as Director of Curriculum and Instruction, he has served on the Education, Human Resource, and Site Committees. His insight, expertise, and commitment to CJHS will be instrumental in helping us to move forward with our academic and strategic goals this year while we continue to search for a permanent Head of School.

As we look ahead to a bright future, the Board would like to thank Mr. Bruce Scher and Rabbi Elliot Goldberg for their hard work during the past year. They worked an unthinkable number of hours and tackled many challenges, clearly reflecting their dedication and devotion to CJHS. We are fortunate to have these leaders at our school.
