CJHS students participate in Interfaith Youth Core

Juniors Lisa Banoff, Rachel Bobrick, Ari Gore, Garrett Jacobs, Becky Kupchan and Rachel Weiner spent Wednesday evening at Loyola Academy learning about Christian traditions in hospitality. The event was one in a four part series of interfaith exchange between CJHS, Loyola Academy, and the Muslim Cultural Center.

"I had the chance to further my understanding of Christianity," junior Becky Kupchan said. "Overall, the program was interesting and it was fun to see familiar faces from the previous two IFYC events."

The next IFYC event will take place on Martin Luther King Day, when students from the three schools will spend the afternoon volunteering.

Juniors Noam Davidoff, Jon Freed, freshmen Leore Avidar and Yoel Saffir had impressive defensive games.

On Jan. 8, CJHS defeated Cove School 51-32 with top scorers freshman Brian Pogrund (15), junior Noam Davidoff (13) and freshman Matthew Silverman (10).
