Meeting Today’s Needs

The Annual Fund

Strategic bond financing and many philanthropic gifts are helping to ensure the school’s fiscal strength for the future. However, to maintain the caliber of the school’s exceptional dual curriculum of general and Judaic studies, and to ensure an outstanding program of athletics and fine arts, enriched by numerous extracurricular, social, and leadership opportunities, CJHS must continue to address our annual operating needs. Like many private schools that are still growing, the cost of providing an education to students is greater than what can be covered by tuition. The annual campaign exists, supported by numerous appeals and events, to raise these much needed dollars.

Scholarship Support

One of the most critical annual needs of CJHS is scholarship support. CJHS is built on the premise that every academically qualified student deserves an opportunity to become a part of the school, regardless of the family’s financial situation. As a result, admission to the school is “needs-blind.” While annual tuition does not cover the cost of educating a student, tuition may be a serious hardship for many families. Tuition assistance, or scholarship support, helps such families.

Roughly 40% of CJHS students receive scholarship support to make their enrollment possible. Their success, and the school’s commitment to diversity and inclusiveness, would not be possible without the generosity of supporters to the school’s scholarship fund.
