Important Dates: Admissions Checklist for Parents

1. Parent/Guardian Application and Student Application Forms:

Both the parent/guardian and the student have completed their respective Application for Admission Forms.

A sample of the student’s written work has been attached with the student’s application form.

A $125 non-refundable application fee, made payable to the Chicagoland Jewish High School, is included with the two application forms.

The application forms and application fee should be submitted as soon as possible, preferably by the December 15, 2008 early bird deadline.

If financial aid is requested, a Tuition Assistance application must be submitted by February 9, 2009 in a separate and sealed envelope.

2. Request for Transcripts/School Records Form:

Gave the Request for Transcripts/School Records form to school registrar at student's present school

Official up-to-date transcripts should be returned to CJHS directly from the school.

Current grades should be included or sent subsequently.

3. Teacher Recommendations:

Provided the student’s name on the three Teachers’ Recommendation Forms (English, Math, and Judaic Studies)

Gave the forms to the student’s current English, Mathematics, and Judaic Studies/Religious School teachers.

4. The Interview:

The Admissions Office will schedule an interview with parent/guardian and student after all application materials are received.
