Welcome to CJHS

Just a few years ago, a visionary group of leaders in Chicago set out to create a new high school that would combine the very best of the humanities, sciences, and fine arts with the very best in Jewish studies. A place where students attending day schools could continue their Jewish education during the years that have the greatest impact on their Jewish identity. And a place where public school students entering high school could deepen their understanding and appreciation of their Jewish heritage.

This dream is alive at Chicagoland Jewish High School.

Since 2001, CJHS has earned a national reputation for its commitment to academic excellence. Every year, more and more Chicago-area families are discovering how CJHS’ outstanding faculty, integrated general and Judaic studies curriculum, vibrant community, and exciting school life provide Jewish high school students with a unique opportunity to achieve their full potential.

Whatever professions our students choose—education, medicine, law, engineering, performing arts, Jewish communal service—they graduate from CJHS with the knowledge, confidence, and skills to follow their own dreams while remaining steadfast to their Jewish heritage.

We invite you to get to know us better. The best way to understand our extraordinary learning community is to come and see it for yourself. To schedule a visit or a tour, please contact Rachel Spiro, our Director of Admissions, at 847.470.6700.
